H.L. Mencken noted in the 1920s that the men the American public admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth. The fact that both the GOP and Democrat Party establishments do their best to discredit conservative voices is the best evidence of the former. Truth never fears an honest debate.
Black writer Larry Elder has summed up the sentiment even more concisely: “Black voters have been aligned with the Democrats for almost 80 years. That has worked out great for the Democrats. Can black people say the same?”
