I just watched the movie “High Noon” last night, for the very first time, and then this morning I saw this article by Lloyd in my email. I wouldn’t have been able to fully appreciate the significance of it without having watched the movie. Gary Cooper’s character showed great character and courage in doing the right thing even though he had to go it alone. There are too many voices, from both sides of the aisle, trying to scare conservatives by telling them they will “go it alone” if they do not compromise their core values and appeal to potential voters. But this is not a popularity contest. This is about doing the right thing even though we have to go it alone. America and our consciences are on the line. If we have to be the last conservatives standing, and standing alone, so be it — but we must not walk away from this fight.
