Black pundits say that to be black and Republican makes one a despicable race-traitor worthy of no-holds-barred punishment.  As a black conservative Republican, I’m not frightened by this; it just angers and frustrates me.

My frustration comes from the knowledge that those claiming to have black America’s empowerment and best interest at heart are the “elephant in the room” problem.  They lie to black America.  Who are “they”?  They are Democrats committed to keeping blacks viewing themselves as victims.  They are racist, bitter black politicians with huge chips on their shoulders, seeking eternal “payback” for America’s original sin of slavery.  These black politicians are rewarded by the Democrats for delivering black votes.

So there you have it, black America: these are your so-called advocates.  And how do they help you?  They lie to you.  They tell you that 70% of black youths dropping out of high school is not your fault.  They tell you that prisons filled with black males is not their fault.  They tell you that 80% of black kids growing up without a father is not your fault.  They tell you that black genocide — half of black pregnancies ending in abortion — is not your fault.

They tell you that English is too difficult to learn and that standards must be lowered.  They tell you that blacks who speak correct English are traitors trying to be white.  They tell you that despite the fact that showing proper ID is required to board an airplane and a gazillion other things, requiring ID to vote will disenfranchise blacks.  Thus, their message is that blacks are too stupid to acquire ID.

When I was growing up in the black ghetto of east Baltimore, several corners had grocery stores owned by Jews.  Later the Jews were replaced by Asians.  Huge families lived upstairs, and their stores were downstairs.

The community resented Jewish and Asian store owners in black neighborhoods.  I always thought, “Why?”  These people did not receive a start-up check from the government.  They took a risk.  They rented in the black ghetto because it was cheaper.  They worked long hours.  Experience taught them to install a wall of bulletproof glass, separating them from their customers.  Fourteen, fifteen family members lived above their businesses.  These Jewish and Asian people were pursuing the American Dream the best way they knew how.  What was stopping their black customers from doing the same thing?  Answer: in many cases, blacks were relying on Democrat welfare programs.

I hear you — Democrat brainwashed fellow blacks yelling at me: Lloyd, you Uncle Tom SOB!  America is racist, and blacks did not have a fair shot in those days!

Yes, racism was an issue is those days.  But how do you explain the entrepreneurial success of black millionaires in Harlem in the 1920s?

Blacks have been congressmen and business owners in America since the 1800s.  And yet, Democrats continue to tell us that we are incapable of finding our way to acquire an ID.

Democrats and bitter, small-minded blacks insist on forcing blacks into their “black box.”  They say authentic blacks must have had a “ghetto experience.”

When the Bill Cosby Show first hit TV, it was highly criticized because the sitcom black father was a doctor and his family lived in a nice home.  I heard the same criticism of Diahann Carroll in her TV sitcom, Julia, in which she played a successful black nurse — not reflective of the black experience.  The Cosby Show and Julia were outside the Democrat-promoted “black box.”

In my youth, I met a black master swordsman.  Excited, I carted him around to black community centers because I wanted black kids to see that blacks could be successful in fields beyond entertainment and sports.

Despite blacks succeeding today in almost every area of American life, Democrats continue to portray black Americans as still getting the short end of the stick.  Democrats promote an image of the authentic black experience as a majority in need of government entitlements, as people who can’t find their way to acquire ID — sitting at home watching Maury on TV, anxiously awaiting for the results of the DNA test to discover the name of Keysha’s baby’s daddy.  This is the Democrats’ black America.

This is not black advocacy or empowerment.  It is demeaning, humiliating, and crippling.  Why can’t my fellow blacks see this obvious truth?

I am a Republican because the Republican Party respects my intelligence — no special concessions or lowered standards.

In the 1950s, my dad was one of the first blacks to break the racist color barrier into the Baltimore Fire Department.  The white firefighters rejected my dad and made conditions horrific for him.  Still, dad won “Firefighter of the Year” two times.  That’s what I am talking about!

Given the opportunity, in their typical denigrating of black intellect, Democrats would argue that requirements for Firefighter of the Year be lowered to give my dad a “fair” shot at it.  Lowered standards would have robbed Dad of the dignity and pride of his achievement.  Thank God such was not the case.

Dad, a black man, won Firefighter of the Year because he was the best!  Yes, I am a black conservative Republican and proud of it.  All you blacks who think the Democrats are your friends, wake up and smell the betrayal.

What I am about to say is exclusively directed to those who call themselves Christians. Brothers and sisters in Christ, we are at war; a war for the hearts, minds and souls of our children. We are at war with those who hate the traditional principles, values and morals which have made America an extraordinarily successful unique experiment. Some may choose to ignore my report because of their hatred for the rich (the sin of covetousness), others may stuff their ears with cotton as not to hear me because of their deep seeded racism and loyalty to skin-color (the sin of idolatry). Your response is irrelevant. As a Christian, I am called to be salt. Thus, I will simply tell you the truth and what you choose to do with that truth is between you and God.

We are at war! — at war with the Church of Liberalism. You will know them by their vitriolic disdain for any and all things Christian and their showing Dracula-the-cross reaction to the name of Jesus Christ. They seek to ban prayer from all public events. Incidences where prayer is allowed, mentioning Jesus is forbidden and deemed offensive. They ban Nativity scenes from public facilities at Christmas or Winter-Fest as they prefer to call it. They want the Ten commandments removed from public buildings.

Embolden by the supportive climate created by the Obama administration, the Church of Liberalism members have stepped up their attacks against Christians. For years, churches in New York have been renting public buildings, after hours, for services. New York Mayor Bloomberg supports a new policy which bans the rental of public buildings to churches.

Members of the Church of Liberalism include a majority of the mainstream media and the Democratic Party including president Obama.

In a nutshell, the driving philosophy of the Church of Liberalism is man is god. They believe only man, not God, can fix every problem – population, the environment and etc. Such is a philosophy of vanity, arrogance and folly. In a Biblical context, theirs is unquestionably, the Spirit of Anti-Christ. They believe man can establish utopia; a land of total fairness and equal outcomes – brought about by confiscating from achievers to give to non-achievers.

Biblical charity is people giving out of their compassion for others. God promises to reward them. There is no spiritual reward for government mandated giving/confiscation. This is tyranny.

The Church of Liberalism says homosexuality is as natural as being left-handed. In their world, even if the head of a baby is out, abortion is still OK, as no one should be “punished” with having a baby. Theirs is a land ruled by “Moral Relativism” which means no one has moral authority to declare anything right or wrong. So, if someone needed your car, they have a right to take and keep it.

Against what Christians believe to be God’s word, President Obama has mandated that Christians pay for contraception/abortion services. Obama’s minions have launched a campaign to brand all who oppose Obama forcing Christians to fund abortion services to be haters of women, trying to “ban” contraception. THIS IS A LIE! No one is trying to ban contraception. Contraception is readily available to any woman who chooses to use it. So why is Obama hell-bent on making Christians pay for it? Obama claims Jesus would support his socialist policies.

Mr. President, how dare you side with those who despise Jesus and try to block Jesus’ teachings at every opportunity. Then, you exploit the name of Jesus by distorting Jesus’ message to further the godless philosophy of Socialism. Woe be unto you!

Jesus is not a socialist. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 “…if any man will not work, neither let him eat.”

Brothers and sisters, the Obama reelection campaign’s peddle to the metal drive toward Socialism is not for some great altruistic purpose. The more we surrender our liberty and freedom to government to sustain us rather than putting our faith and trust is God, the more the Church of Liberalism will consume and control our lives. And trust me folks when I say, their view and value of human life is far different than the Biblical view of life. In a nutshell, Church of Liberalism disciples believe the life of an endangered bird to equal to that of a human.

Ephesians 4:27 “”Do not yield to the suggestions and temptations of Satan…” To win your vote, Obama is despicably using “class envy” to “temp” you to succumb to the sin of covetousness. First he demonizes the rich, convincing you to believe you have too little because the rich are hogging it all. Then, he says reelect me and I vow to get even with those rich S-O-Bs and give you your “fair” share.

Lloyd’s Life Lessons: Meet Joe

I was 17. The summer before beginning at the Maryland Institute College of Art on a scholarship, I landed a job at Joe Canale Signs. Mr. Canale was a kind and jolly Italian. He had four young black artists working for him.

One of us four blacks was Joe F. who was a few years older than me. I lived in suburbia with my intact family. Joe was raised in a low income area of the inner city by his grandmother. Joe spent a year in jail for petty crime.

Joe was also attending the Maryland Institute a year or so ahead of me. I am the oldest of five children. Joe became the big brother I never had. Along with his “street smarts”, I was fascinated by Joe’s common sense logic, go get what you want nature and individual mindedness.

This was the early 70s. While our black buddies were consumed with black power protests and believing white America was burning the midnight oil thinking of ways to “keep blacks down”, Joe focused on his studies and working part-time to pay his tuition. The quality I admired most about Joe is that he never allowed anyone’s beliefs or limitations to influence his choices.

Joe and I were working on a college project together. My job was to find a special paper. I told Joe I looked everywhere and could not find the paper. Joe interrogated me and concluded I had not looked “everywhere”. I was annoyed at Joe, but in my heart I knew he was right. That was Joe; simply get it done without excuses.

After graduation, Joe drove a school bus to work his way through grad school. Joe became the first black to land a job as an art director at a major Baltimore Advertising Agency. Today, Joe enjoys substantial prestige and wealth.

An artist whom I will call Jim was hands down the most artistically talented/gifted of the four of us blacks who worked at Joe Canale Signs. Extremely street smart, Jim thought he was too smart for college. He got caught stealing from our generous and kind employer on at least two occasions. Amazingly, our employer forgave Jim. Jim justified his betrayal of our boss saying he is white and they owe us. Without remorse, referring to our employer, Jim said, “F” him”.

Joe told me he saw Jim a few years ago. Our super talented charismatic friend had become a drug addict and looked like a homeless person. Joe said the horrific decline of our friend broke his heart.

Joe believed he could become successful and he did. Jim believed blacks can’t make it in a white man’s world and he could not. The Bible says, “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”

MILF is an acronym used in pornography for “Mother I’d Like to F—”. Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a MILF. Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a “dumb twat”. Bill Maher joked that Sarah Palin’s Down Syndrome baby was the result of Palin having sex with John Edwards. Bill Maher called Sarah Palin a C-word.

President Obama phoned Ms Fluke to find out if she was OK regarding the Limbaugh comment. To be consistent in his concern for women, shouldn’t President Obama give back the million dollar contribution to his super PAC from Bill Maher, a serial vitriolic abuser of Sarah Palin, who to the best of my recollection is a “woman”?

The liberal media is ignoring Obama’s blatant hypocrisy in accepting campaign money from Bill Maher who has a history of down in the gutter disrespectful remarks about conservative women.

The truth of the matter is the democrats and liberal media do not give a rat’s rear end about any of the voting blocs they claim to champion; blacks, women and etc. To the left “people” are just media props to be used to increase their power and further their socialistic agenda.

Democrats and media campaigning for Limbaugh to be forced off the radio have completely ignored, and in many cases joined in, the high tech lynching of black conservatives and the verbal raping of the dignity of conservative women. As far as the left is concerned, no attack is too much or comment too viscous/disrespectful when the subject is a conservative black or woman. Their glaring hypocrisy is outrageous.

Bill Maher received zero rebuke from the mainstream media for vulgarly calling Palin a MILF, dumb twat and c-word. Sarah Palin received zero sympathy from the mainstream media for Maher calling her a MILF, dumb twat and c-word.

What is the left’s response to racist comments about black conservatives and sexual insulting comments about conservative women? They laugh!

Conservative presidential candidate Michele Bachmann appeared on the NBC Jimmy Fallon TV show and the band played “Lyin’ A– B—-”. For the most part, the mainstream media simply laughed.

So please forgive my uncontrollable gag response every time I hear mainstream media and democrats claiming to be defenders of minorities and women. If you are a black who rebels against your media assigned democrat massas and black plantation overseers, you are a “stupid n—–”, which I have been called on several occasions.

In essence, the mainstream media and democrats told black former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain, Boy, you had better get your black butt back on our liberal plantation where you belong. Who do you think you are running as a Republican? You’re due for a severe whippin’!

If you are a truly liberated woman who loves God, your husband and kids while also achieving success outside of the home, according to Bill Maher, you are a stupid, slut and a c—. And what is the media’s response to these attacks on conservative blacks and women? Silence or laughter.

Folks, can you imagine what the media and democrats would do to a conservative repeating any of Bill Maher’s comments referring to a “liberal” woman? Think about it – MILF, dumb twat and c-word.

Meanwhile, President Obama holds the telephone consoling Ms Fluke with one hand while accepting a million dollar super PAC check from Bill Maher, an unrepentant brutal abuser of conservative women with his other hand.

From David Gregory’s interview with Newt Gingrich in which Gregory attempts to make the Limbaugh/ Fluke controversy the most important issue in America to the mainstream media’s extremely loud silence about Obama accepting campaign funds from a serial abuser of women – the media bias is blatant, shameless, unpatriotic, characterless and just plain evil.

Mainstream media how dare you ever again insult the intelligence of the American people telling us you care about women. You are nothing more than an arm of the Democrat National Committee and Obama Reelection Campaign. Sharon Jasper could be the poster child for Obama’s re-election campaign.  Ms. Jasper has lived on the dole 57 of her 58 years.  She was moved out of the St. Bernard housing project after hurricane Katrina.  Her current home is a voucher-backed apartment in a private residence.  Speaking to a New Orleans Times-Picayune reporter, Jasper said, “…it’s pitiful what people give you.”

Ms. Jasper, the key word is “give.”  We taxpayers do not owe you anything.  How dare you whine and complain?

This ungrateful, arrogant, entitlement-minded woman called her apartment a “slum.”  Jasper allowed a photographer to tour her subsidized apartment.  She complained about missing window screens, a slow leak in a sink, a warped back door, and a few other details of her residence.  Otherwise, Jasper’s apartment appeared to have been recently renovated.

Jasper’s “slum” also featured hardwood floors and a 60-inch HD TV.

At a New Orleans City Council meeting about whether or not to tear down the dilapidated St Bernard projects, Ms. Jasper verbally attacked a white male in attendance, saying, “I will not be treated like a slave!” and “Back up and Shut up! Shut up, white boy! Shut up, white boy!”

Sharon Jasper should be ashamed of herself.  Jasper’s shamelessness confirms how deeply our culture is infected with an entitlement mindset.  Please do not write me about how I am beating up on the poor.  I am not.  I have known Sharon Jasper in various forms all of my life, including in my own family.  I have witnessed firsthand the devastating toll cradle-to-grave government dependency has taken on the human spirit and the wasted lives left in its wake.  So please, do not preach to me about liberals’ good intentions or tell me I simply do not support my fellow blacks.

Sharon Jasper epitomizes the type of voter Obama seeks and is working to create.  With more Americans than ever on food stamps and half the country receiving government assistance in some form or another, Obama is cloning Sharon Jasper.  Unquestionably, Obama is putting all his re-election eggs into his Sharon Jasper basket.

As callous, self-serving and heartless as drug dealers, the Democrats are government-dependency dealers.  Hooking as many Americans as possible on government dependency secures the Democrats’ voting bloc of government-dependency junkies.  Every election, Democrats will promise to increase the dosage of freebies.

But somewhere down the road, workers/taxpayers will revolt!  “Screw it! I ain’t workin’ no more for the government to take it and give it away.”

I cannot begin to express how painful it is for me to see lazy, “triflin’” (as my mom used to call them) do-nothings getting over on hardworking taxpayers and being celebrated by the president of the United States.  Obama treats deadbeat entitlement junkies like saints, superior to working Americans.  Mr Obama, we are a not a bunch of slackers.  We are Americans, doggone-it!  We work!  Quoting Larry the Cable Guy, we “git-r-done”!

I will tell you who are the “real” saints: the small business owner I met in Kansas.  For ten years, (think about that for a moment, ten years), a few of his employees earned more than he did in his meat-processing business.  Through failures and personal and financial hardships, he kept the business going.  Today, he employs 500 people.  This small businessman is a hero!  And yet, Obama has targeted this man’s extremely hard-earned wealth for redistribution, all the while portraying him as a selfish villain.  Despicable.  Mr. Obama, that’s anti-American!

Some of you patriots still do not get it.  You write me long e-mails explaining the sins of Newt and Santorum and how if Ron Paul does not win the nomination, you’re sitting this election out.  Well, that is just plain wrong and crazy.  While I have my favorite, at this stage of the game, I will support whoever wins the nomination!  What part of “Obama will end America as we know it” do you not understand?

The argument that the “wrong Republican” in the White House is just as bad as Obama confirms a naivety of the depths of Obama’s far-left radical- and Rev. Jeremiah Wright-inspired hatred for America.  Obviously, you do not comprehend the seriousness of the unique situation we find ourselves in as Americans.  On their worst day, none of our candidates are as devastating to our freedom, liberty, and culture as Obama is.

And to all you people who write me saying both political parties are corrupt and so what’s the point in Tea Partying, voting, or even trying, I will not embrace your defeatist attitude.  When ten out of twelve spies for Israel said they could not defeat the giants, God called their report “evil.”  To all you folks who say America is too far gone and we should simply give up, I say take your “evil” report elsewhere!

I love my country and trust God too much to surrender the greatest nation on the planet to those who would destroy her.  Don’t know ’bout y’all, but I’m fightin’ for my country ’til the Lord takes me home.

Mr. Obama, Sharon Jasper is not America!  We will not allow you to turn us into a nation of Sharon Jaspers!  Sharon Jasper is not my America!

Lloyd’s Life Lessons: The Turning Point

I talk often about gratitude because I believe it pleases God and is a key to success. In 1993, I was enjoying a successful 15 year career as an award-winning art department supervisor at an ABC affiliate TV station in Baltimore. Mary and I had the good life; a beautiful home with a swimming pool, two cars, designer wardrobe, hair cuts by stylists and dinners at expensive restaurants.

Candidly, I was young, spoiled, impatient and ungrateful. Part-time on weekends, vacations and etc, I pursued a second career in music as a singer/songwriter. I remember having a temper tantrum in my kitchen smashing dishes against the wall frustrated because my music career was not progressing.

Due to a series of events which I explain in my book, “Confessions of a Black Conservative”, I resigned from my “great job” to pursue a music career full-time. Remarkably, my amazingly supportive wife agreed to risk everything for me to pursue my dream. It was a crazy decision. We did not have sufficient money in the bank or a plan.

My unthoughtful choice confirms that God still takes care of idiots. Despite falling six months behind in our mortgage, we did not lose our home.

However, over time, we lost our cars and everything which made us hotshot “yuppies” (Young Urban Professionals). As a matter of fact, we were reduced to driving an old car formerly owned by Mary’s parents which was passed around the family to whoever needed a vehicle.

One day, the car died at the foot of the hill at the entrance of our community. A few men who were down on their luck, alcoholic or whatever were hanging around the entrance. They kindly attempted to help me get my car started. The car would not start.

Neighbors drove by watching me and “these men” working on my piece of crap car. I thought, “Wow, I was the community celebrity who worked at the TV station and had the annual VIP party written about in the Baltimore Sun Newspaper society page. Look how far I have fallen.”

We pushed my car to the side of the road and I walked up the hill back to my home.

As I walked, I said, “Thank you Lord that I do not have an important appointment today.”

Folks, I can not explain it, but somehow, I knew my small statement of gratitude was a crucial turning point in my life.

Little did I know our remarkable adventure was just beginning. Things financially went from bad to much worse. And yet, Mary and I survived and most importantly, we grew in our faith and as human beings. We learned that it is not all about us. We also learned to be grateful for EVERYTHING!
