Alleged civil rights leaders, including Rev. Al Sharpton and NAACP President Benjamin Jealous, are having a cow because Glenn Beck had the audacity to schedule his “Restoring Honor” rally on August 28th on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. It is the same date and location of Dr. Martin Luther King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech 47 years ago.

These are the same hypocritical so-called black leaders who demanded that white America honor the memory of the civil rights icon with MLK Boulevards across America. But when a “white boy” chooses to embrace Dr. King’s vision and dream by holding his “Restoring Honor” rally on the same day as Dr. King’s historic speech, the Black Civil Rights Mafia, the race profiteers, yell, “How dare you? MLK belongs to us!”

I am a black American who wishes to thank brother Beck for honoring Dr. King in such a powerful way. Beck’s “Restoring Honor” rally is linking the restoration of our great nation’s Godly principles, freedom, liberty, and culture to the black civil rights leader. Beck’s rally is a wonderful tribute to the man I remember, when I was a little boy, as being larger than life. I was there, August 28, 1963, in Washington, D.C. with my dad — yellow school buses lined up and black people as far as I could see. I do not remember feeling hate in the air. Dr. King spoke of all Americans yielding to God, righteousness, and brotherhood. Sounds like Beck to me.

MLK was amazing: incredibly articulate, dignified, strong, powerful, and bold. And yet, he was also warm, calm, and confident. To say I was in awe of him is an understatement. As a little black kid, I proudly viewed MLK as our Black Moses, leading us, by God’s grace and guidance, to God’s Promised Land of Brotherhood and Freedom in America.

Thus, you can understand my total revulsion for those who dishonor and exploit MLK’s legacy while deceitfully claiming to preserve and celebrate what he stood for.

National Urban League President Marc Morial said Beck’s rally is “an effort to embarrass and poke a finger in the eye of the civil rights community because Glenn Beck and his public utterances don’t necessarily demonstrate a consistency with the vision of King.”

Give me a break! MLK was a Republican. Glenn Beck’s values and principles are far more consistent with MLK’s values than are those of the black civil rights leaders who have sold their souls for political power to the anti-God, anti-family, and anti-America progressives.

The modern-day black civil rights movement has morphed into the Black Civil Rights Mafia, lead by Godfather Rev. Al Sharpton. They make everything about skin color. Content of character is irrelevant to them — totally inconsistent with the vision of MLK.

MLK’s niece, Dr. Alveda King, siding with Beck rather than the Black Civil Rights Mafia has them in a tizzy.

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s legacy, like the Lincoln Memorial itself, belongs to all Americans. I am participating in Glenn Beck’s Restoring Honor Rally not to advance any political agenda, but to advance the concept of honor in our nation.

Like Michael Corleone in the movie The Godfather, I envision Godfather Rev. Al Sharpton furiously issuing a warning to Dr. Alveda King and all individual minded blacks: “Don’t ever take sides with anyone against the Family again. Ever!”

The Black Civil Rights Mafia’s accusation that Glenn Beck is racially insensitive is unsubstantiated and absurd. It is a smokescreen to hide their real issue with Beck, Dr Alveda King, black conservatives, and the Tea Party Movement, which is ideology.

As a long-time Glenn Beck fan, I have never heard Glenn utter one racist comment. Beck regularly features blacks on his TV show. He aggressively strives to educate America on the tremendous contributions blacks have made in the founding of our great country. And yet, the Black Civil Rights Mafia has marked Glenn Beck as a racist.

The Black Civil Rights Mafia uses their hit men and enforcers in the media to shut up opposing whites by bullying them with the race card. They attempt to shut up black runaway slaves from the liberal plantation by bullying them with the Uncle Tom card.

The Black Civil Rights Mafia are the true racists, guilty of betraying their own people. While claiming their mission is “black empowerment,” these race-peddlers cripple blacks by convincing them they are victims. In reality, black Americans are truly blessed to be born in the greatest land of opportunity on the planet.

Glenn Beck and MLK are also on the same page in their belief that in order for America to be restored, we must turn back to God.

The Black Civil Rights Mafia and President Obama take issue with America as we know it. Both seek to correct what they perceive as America’s sins by implementing social justice/redistribution of wealth which is a part of their socialist/progressive agenda.

The multiple thousands of patriots planning to attend the Glenn Beck “Restoring Honor” rally are doing so because they love our country, freedom, and liberty. Such thinking and feelings about our great country are an anathema to the Black Civil Rights Mafia and their media minions. Thus their hatred for us patriots. It would be extremely foolish to pander to them. We patriots must defeat them.

Tea Party Express asked me to join them in Alaska to assist in their final push for conservative Joe Miller for U.S. Senate. I sang and spoke at rallies in Wasilla, Fairbanks and Anchorage, Alaska.

The weather in Alaska was mild, mid 60s. It was my first time in Alaska and enjoying sourdough pancakes with reindeer sausage. I was most impressed with the people I met who attended the rallies. Most were families, large families averaging from three to eight kids.

The ages of the children at the rallies were from infants to 17. They were well behaved, bright, poised and seemingly happy. I began asking the parents, “Are your kids home schooled?” Every parent said, “Yes”. “I knew it”, I replied.

Characteristics I have noticed for years in home schooled children is they are centered, smart and poised.

I asked the parents at the Alaska Joe Miller rallies, “Home schooling is a huge commitment. Why do you do it?” Every parent said, yes, home schooling is a huge commitment. But the anti-God, America and traditional conservative values agenda of the public school system left them no choice.

An interesting observation; please note, what I am about to say is not a criticism of anyone. I am simply making an observation about the happy home schooled children I saw at the Joe Miller rallies in Alaska . I did not see one little girl’s uncovered mid section or belly bottom hanging out.

The Alaskans were pretty impressed with me. Alaska is Bigfoot country. While not quite as rare as Bigfoot sightings, black conservatives in Alaska apparently are not the norm. Everybody wanted their picture taken with me.

I felt the same kinship with my Alaskan tea party patriot brothers and sisters I have felt at hundreds of tea parties across the lower 48 states. Our divinely inspired tea party movement is not about race. It is about shared conservative values and love for America. All who feel this way are my brothers and sisters; skin color is irrelevant.

Joe Miller is great guy. He is a father, husband, successful businessman, a true conservative and extremely qualified for U.S. Senate. Tea Party Express is endorsing and campaigning for Joe rather than the RINO republican in the race. So much for the accusation that Tea Party Express is all about getting republicans elected. Wrong! Tea Party Express is a powerful voice of “We The People” totally focused and committed to getting conservatives elected. The Tea Party Movement/ We The People are birthing quality conservative candidates across America. While we have no intentions of falling into the the trap of becoming a formal “third party’, we are effective and winning elections. We’re driving the liberal democrats and their sycophant liberal mainstream media friends crazy. Now, in panic mode, democrats and their media minions have stepped up their attacks on the tea party movement. Escalating from despicably playing the “race card”, they are now using their “you’re a racist” steamroller to crush all who dare criticize or oppose King Obama.

While in Alaska, I visited the Alyeska Pipeline and the North Pole. We visited Santa Claus’ house where reindeer were grazing in the fenced area beside his charming home.

In side, excited kids were sitting on Santa’s lap placing their early bird requests for Christmas gifts. Santa walked away for a coffee break.

Despite being chastised by my wife, I took the big book from behind Santa’s beautiful antique chair. I had to take a peek inside.

On the “Nice” list was Alaska U.S. Senate conservative candidate, Joe Miller. On the “Naughty” list was Joe’s opponent, arrogant, RINO republican candidate, Lisa Murkowski. For her long record of betraying the people who voted for her, 300 floor votes with democrats, this naughty girl is so getting her stocking full of coal.

Trying to read as much as possible before Santa returned and with my nervous wife nagging me to put the book back, I saw the names of numerous democrats who will not be happy this Christmas starting in November.

Little Maxine Walters, shame on you for doing unethical things. Then, you displayed your further lack of character by calling those who discovered your crime racist and accusing George Bush of forcing you to commit the crime. Very naughty.

The liberal mainstream media were also well represented on Santa’s Naughty list. Seems they attempted to shamefully brand the hard working decent Americans of the tea party movement as “redneck” racists against a black president. According to an ad my wife read in the North Pole Times, Santa is hiring extra elves specifically to stuff coal in the stockings of all the liberal mainstream media.

My Alaska trip was wonderful; breathtakingly beautiful with warm and friendly salt of the earth people. Only 650,000 people live there. Many Alaskans grow and hunt their food. There is a smell of freedom in the Alaska air. Years ago, I visited the home of a fellow black friend. He talked about the “white people” on his job. It struck me that despite years of working with these people, company picnics and sharing birthday cakes in the office, my friend did not relate to his coworkers as Bob, Joe, or Jane. They were monolithically “white people.”

The stakes are far too high to continue allowing Obama and company to play the should-have-been-retired-years-ago race card to shut people up, trumping logic, reason, and common sense. America and the future of our children are at risk.

The National Press Club in Washington DC was the scene of an historic event, August 4, 2010. For the first time in U.S. history, black conservative leaders from across America gathered for a national press conference. Their purpose was three fold. One, to rebuke the NAACP’s resolution accusing the tea parties of being racist. Two, to introduce themselves to America. Three, to dispel the myth that black conservatives are as rare as Bigfoot sightings.

I am Lloyd Marcus, the press conference organizer and spokesperson of Tea Party Express which hosted the event. Constantly, I am confronted by the liberal mainstream media, “Where are the conservative blacks?”

The NAACP’s politically motivated despicable attack on the tea party movement based on unfounded charges of racism created the “perfect storm” for black conservative leaders, organizations, authors and entertainers to bond together to defend their, mostly white, fellow patriotic God fearing Americans.

The National Black Conservative Press Conference featured speeches and Q & A by a “dream team” of America’s top black conservatives.

Of the approximate 30 to 40 media outlets in attendance, two black reporters, one from “Black Enterprise” and the other from another black media outlet were stunningly hostile and closed-minded during the Q & A.

Two hours of listening to unquestionable truths, historical facts and compelling speeches which argued the virtues of conservatism, the error of socialism and the evil divisiveness of identity politics had no effect on the two black reporters. Locked in their paradigm, both reporters boldly displayed their contempt. To them, we black conservatives were disgraceful sellout Uncle Tom traitors to our race shamefully attacking their black president.

The press conference revealed an extraordinary truth. My brother who is conservative brought my 83 year old dad to the press conference who is a staunch Obama supporter. My dad admitted to my brother that the content of the speeches was indisputable. However, the emotional scars from the humiliating racism he endured in his youth are so deep, he could never forsake America’s first black president. Dad said just thinking about the humiliation he suffered in his youth still brings tears to his eyes after all these years.

Dad’s admission opened my eyes. It explains how he, a committed Christian, could support a president whose policies and attitudes border on being anti-Christian. Dad’s loyalty to President Obama is solely emotional; the realization of an unimaginable impossible dream. Only through prayer and God’s miracle working power will my dad and many black senior’s hearts be healed enabling them to truly forgive America for her sins of the past.

The press conference energized my brother. He said it validated his conservative beliefs. 99% of his fellow black associates worship Obama. Hearing the speeches of the black conservative leaders confirmed to my brother that he is not alone in his opposition to the Obama agenda. My brother said humorously, “So, I’m not crazy.”

White response across America to the press conference has been extraordinary.

Kudos and thanks for putting the event together are coming in from grateful whites who were moved, excited and amazed by what was said. Apparently, white America is not accustom to hearing blacks verbally waving Old Glory expressing pride in being Americans.

Thanks to liberal democrats and their minions, who control the liberal mainstream media, white Americans are accustomed to blacks laying “guilt trips” on them. The liberal mainstream media typically portrays blacks monolithically verbally waving, not our stars and stripes, but flags which proclaim, “America sucks!”, “America is Racist!”, “We Blacks Are Victims!” and “You Whites Owe Us!”

Ironically, Tea Party Express which has been viciously falsely accused of racism by the NAACP and the liberal mainstream media, reached out, united and provided a platform for black conservative leaders to introduce themselves and their missions to America; an unprecedented achievement.

Tea Party Express hosting the extremely successful first National Black Conservative Press Conference has to be the NAACP and liberal mainstream media’s worse nightmare. While many black conservative organizations have been individually fighting the good fight for the hearts and minds of black America for many years, the impact of their collaborative effort at the black conservative press conference is proving to be immeasurably powerful.

By the way, my dad called me wanting to know when a DVD of the press conference would be available. Praise God!

Black Conservatives gathered to introduce themselves to America and support that the Tea Party Movement is NOT racist and there are Blacks that support the Tea Party Movement.

National Black Conservatives Rally to Take Back America The Tea Party Express, (website: http://www.TeaPartyExpress.org) one of the nation’s largest tea party organizations with over 400,000 members, is conducting a press conference regarding the unrelenting attacks on the tea party movement in an effort to dissuade Americans from rebelling at the ballot box in the November 2010 elections.

“From the very beginning when Rick Santelli’s famous on-air rant helped rally millions of Americans to the tea party movement, the establishment media and liberals across the country have tried to head off the growing citizen involvement in opposing the reckless spending in Washington and the growing intrusiveness of the federal government,” said Lloyd Marcus, Tea Party Express spokesperson and leader.

“First, they called us all Astro-turf and not real, but the crowds kept getting bigger. Then they tried to say we were all a bunch of nuts, but when millions of people kept coming, they couldn’t claim everyone was a nut. Now, they are trying to say that we are racist, which is yet another desperate fabrication. We are going to stand up and call on the Left to start sticking to the issues, and stop the name calling,” added Marcus.

“In light of the NAACP resolution accusing the millions of Americans who attend Tea Parties of embracing racists, the Tea Party Express is hosting a National Black Conservative Press Conference to speak out against all of the bogus, false and malicious charges leveled against the American people who have rallied to take their country back from the big spending and irresponsible and unconstitutional growth of the federal government. Apparently the NAACP and other groups are afraid to acknowledge the fact that the tea party welcomes people of all races, and is a much bigger and more diverse group than they’re willing to admit,” stated Marcus.

Black conservative leaders, organization spokespersons, authors, entertainers and activists from across America will gather in Washington DC to introduce themselves and their individual roles in fighting the good fight promoting conservative principles, values and patriotism within the tea party movement.
