Dear Black Church,

What I am about to say will probably anger you. As a black Christian, I have struggled with whether or not to address this sensitive topic. I only ask that you give my statements prayerful consideration.

Ninety-six percent of black voters, many of whom are Christians, cast their votes for Barack Obama. I question: Did your desire to see a black man in the White House trump your commitment to Christ and Christian values and principles? While I believe many white Christians also made a racist decision by voting for Obama solely because he is black, I am taking this occasion to address my fellow black Christians.

Now wait a minute. I know the hair is rising on the back of your neck. Don’t go crazy on me. Please hear me out.

My family and most of my black friends are Christians striving to live lives which honor Christ. And yet, there is a huge disconnect between their Christianity and their irrational, blind, and near-idol-worship of Obama.

Will the truth about Obama make a difference? For some, I think not. For those of you who value your commitment to Christ more than your loyalty to skin color, here are a few facts.

Obama supports abortion. He also supports the vile murderous practice of partial birth abortion. So as not to offend his pro-choice supporters while an Illinois state senator, Obama voted three times against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, which would protect babies who survive abortions. According to Illinois state law at that time, live aborted babies were issued birth and death certificates and left out to die in soiled utility rooms. Obama’s compassionate compromise was to suggest hospitals create a “Comfort Room” for aborted babies to die in.

Over 50% of black pregnancies end in abortion (Blackgenocide.org). The liberal mainstream media (CNN, MSNBC, BET, etc.) and the Democrats relentlessly promote the myth that “white conservative Republicans” are burning the midnight oil thinking of ways to suppress black America. Isn’t it ironic that not a white Republican’s, but our black Democrat president’s abortion policy contributes greatly to black genocide?

Let’s talk about gay marriage. Yep, Obama is sympathetic to it. Obama opposed the federal Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman. Obama said he would support civil unions between gay and lesbian couples. He also supports individual states deciding if marriage between gay and lesbian couples should be legalized.

I would also like to tackle the whole “entitlement” thing — folks believing they have a right to reap the benefits of someone else’s labor. Obama is diligently fulfilling his promise to Joe the Plumber to “spread the wealth around.” The Bible says that if a man does not work, he should not eat (II Thessalonians 3:6-12).

Yes, the Bible does highly regard giving/charity. But it does not support government confiscating wealth for redistribution in the name of “social justice.” That is not what Jesus would do. As a matter of fact, Jesus said, “The poor you will have with you always.” Why? Because it is impossible to regulate outcomes in life. Obama skillfully plays the class envy card, getting those who have less to hate those who have more. Then they will gleefully support him brutally taxing the rich SOBs. Obama is exploiting the human tendency to sinfully covet the possessions of others.

Obama also shamelessly plays the race card to get his way — not directly out of his mouth, but through his minions. The liberal mainstream media and the Democrats are promoting the lie that the millions of whites who voted for Obama and have since become tea-partiers because they reject his big government agenda are suddenly racist. This is an evil and divisive control tactic.

And here is a major kick in the face to Christians. During his presidential campaign, Obama told the world America is not a Christian nation. Now, as president, Obama canceled the 21st annual “National Day of Prayer” ceremony at the White House, which was started by President Truman in 1952. Obama stated his reason as “not wanting to offend anyone.”

Now here’s the kicker. A National Day of Prayer for the Muslim religion was held on Capitol Hill, beside the White House, September 25, 2009. As many as 50,000 Muslims attended.

So apparently, Team Obama has no problem offending Christians, but he is extremely sensitive to and even honors Muslims.

My fellow black Christians, these are only a few easy-to-research examples of Obama/Democrat agenda policies which do not line up with Christianity. For those of you who cannot handle the truth, I will keep you in my prayers. It is not my place to judge you. I am simply the messenger. But then, we all know what traditionally happens to messengers. God bless.

Media Demands, ‘Take Us To Your Leader, Sarah Palin!’

Is Sarah Palin the leader of the Tea Party Movement? This is asked as a “gotcha” question by the liberal mainstream media of every spokesperson of the Tea Party Movement. The liberal mainstream media is so far out of touch with the majority of Americans, their rationale is: if they can get tea partiers to say a wacko like Palin is their leader, it will confirm that the movement is nothing more than a bunch of extremist fringe loonies.

In their arrogant, elitist Bicoastal, ACLU-joining, New York Times-reading and “smarter than common Americans” minds, the liberal mainstream media can not grasp the concept that Sarah Palin is the voice of most Americans. Thus, Tea Party patriot’s great love and admiration for her. Palin is the conservative voice America has been waiting for.

Palin boldly speaks out against political correctness and stands up for conservative principles and values. Not since Ronald Reagan has a politician unapologetically so championed conservatism. With all due respect to her femininity and beauty, Sarah Palin is the, long awaited, John Wayne of the Conservative movement. If only more of our “walk on eggs, careful not to offend and pandering to political correctness” male conservative politicians would take a cue from this extraordinary woman.

No, Palin is not the leader of the Tea Party Movement. But, not because she is unqualified. Sarah is extremely qualified. Palin is not the leader of the Tea Party Movement because it does not require a leader at this time. Self appointed leaders are frauds. True leaders are selected by the people. If, or when the Tea Party movement demands a leader, Palin is a very strong contender.

I witnessed firsthand the power of Palin’s presence and the emotional effect she has on patriots. I toured nationally on Tea Party Express. Sarah Palin spoke at our Boston rally.

Our 30 member team was positioned on the side of our Tea Party Express bus. The plan was for Palin to pose for a picture in front of our team after her speech.

Talk about the best laid plans gone awry. When Palin came down from the stage, all heck broke loose. Paparazzi were jockeying for position to take pictures. People swarmed to Palin like bees to honey. They were screaming for Sarah to look in their direction and autograph things. While the police did not have a problem controlling the crowd, the patriots’ excitement level bordered on frenzy. They loved her.

While being pushed from both sides by other photographers and Palin fans crushing our Tea Party Express team, our photographer managed to shoot a picture. Not the one we intended, but a picture.

So why is Sarah Palin the liberal mainstream media’s great white whale, an obsessive target that they are fanatically and irrationally committed to destroy? Sarah Palin equals America as our Founding Fathers intended it to be; built on godly principles, freedom and respect for individual rights. The liberal mainstream media are disciples of the religion of Progressivism promoting their new vision of America; gay marriage, anti-God, anti-Capitalism, anti-individual and government totally controlling our lives. Not only is America under attack by Islamic religious zealots, we are being attacked by Progressive religious zealots as well.

Think of Palin as baby Moses and the liberal mainstream media as Pharaoh. They must destroy Palin because she just might set her people free. So yes, politically, “Sarah Palin must die!”, is the battle cry of the liberal mainstream media.

I will take it a step further to say the campaign against Sarah Plain is really a battle of good verses evil.

I remember in response to Palin’s 2008 VP nomination acceptance speech, Hollywood actress Pamela Anderson said, “(Palin) can suck it!” Why such a passionate, angry and vulgar response to a woman who epitomizes what Hollywood feminist claim to want for women, success in and outside of the home?

The truth is anyone espousing good wholesome American values and a love for their country is as repulsive to America hating Progressives as displaying the cross is to vampires.

Driven by their contempt, the liberal mainstream media will continue pestering tea partiers, “Admit it, Sarah Palin is your leader!” They just don’t and never will get it. This is why it is foolish for conservative politicians and Tea Party spokespersons to water down our message in a futile quest for “positive” media coverage. Remember, like Palin, the liberal mainstream media desire us tea party patriots politically dead.

Without question the strong woman from Alaska has and continues to inspire patriots to boldly defend and fight to restore our freedoms, liberty and culture. So Progressives, be afraid. Be very afraid. With Palin, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Levin and others leading the charge and God on our side, we will take back America.

I watched a History channel program about the War of 1812. Folks, I cannot explain why, but the segment about the battle of Baltimore at Fort McHenry and the writing of our national anthem, The Star-Spangled Banner moved me to tears.

The British had burned down our U.S. Capitol and the White House. The next step on the agenda of the seemingly all-powerful British was an easy sea invasion of the busy port city of Baltimore. I was raised in Baltimore. All I knew about Fort McHenry was it was a historical site where they took kids on school buses for tours.

Little did I know of the huge role the battle at Fort McHenry played in the saving of America. 39 year old Major George Armistead was in command of 1000 troops at Fort McHenry defending the entrance to Baltimore Harbor.

Unselfishly, Baltimore merchants sunk the source of their income; the ships which imported the merchandise they sold in their businesses. The sunken ships created a reef or barrier stopping the British ships from coming in close. They were forced to fire their bombs and rockets from two miles away.

Major Armistead commissioned Mary Pickersgill, paying her $500 to sew two huge Garrison flags, 40 feet by something, one slightly smaller for the battle. Armistead knew it was extremely important for the British to see our flag from a distance.

With seven women helping, Pickersgill and her crew worked days and well into the nights sewing by candle light to get the massive flags completed swiftly.

Upon seeing the spectacular display of British power with ships as far as the eye could see, many Baltimore residents panicked and ran for their lives. For 25 hours the British pounded little Fort McHenry with over 2000 cannon balls and 700 rockets.

A cannon ball even hit the shack in the fort where a half million pounds of gun powder was stored. Had it exploded, the battle would have been over. It did not explode. As a Christian, I believe God protected our, contrary to your belief Mr Obama, Christian nation.

Frances Scott Key was a lawyer who did not agree with our war with the British. Key watched the battle from a truce ship in the Patapsco River. Key was on a mercy mission for the release of a prisoner held by the British. Key thought it was only a matter of time before the humble fort would fall. For Major Armistead and his troops to fight off and survive such bombarding from the mighty British ships would be impossible.

In the morning, finally, there was silence. To Key’s amazement and pleasure, the U.S. flag over Fort McHenry was still waving. The British ships retreated off into the distance. Many say this battle saved America.

Armistead lowered the battle torn flag and raised the larger 40 foot flag. Inspired, Frances Scott Key penned the Star-Spangled Banner, which became our national anthem.

As a singer, I have performed the song hundreds of times never pondering the words. “Oh, say can you see by the dawn’s early light. What so proudly we hailed at the twilight’s last gleaming?” Wow, now I get it. Key was blown away that the flag was still there in the morning.

“Whose broad stripes….” Key was referring to the broad stripes sown by Mary Pickersgill and her crew. “…and bright stars thru the perilous fight,…” I envisioned the women in Pickersgill’s crew sewing on the giant white stars. I began to weep.

Then it dawned on me. The battle at Fort McHenry is our heritage. It symbolizes who we are as Americans. We tea party patriots are the same as those patriots who defended Fort McHenry. We are them and they are us.

Regardless of the odds or power of the evil against us, we fight. Why? Because we are Americans. Though we have strayed from our core principles and values, many Americans are still praying and God is still on our side.

This is why the Tea Party Movement will defeat the enemy within who is seeking to destroy our Founding Fathers’ inspired vision of our country. How long are we willing to fight? To the end. And by God’s Grace, we will prevail.

Folks, our country is in big trouble. What kind man do we have in the White House? President Obama is a Harvard educated lawyer. Thus, I can only conclude Obama willfully and knowingly distorted/lied about the plight of Hispanic Americans in Arizona and the state’s immigration law when he said, “…but now suddenly if you don’t have your papers, and you took your kid out to get ice cream, you’re gonna be harassed,…”

Obama’s statement simply is not true. The Arizona law only goes into effect after a subject has or is suspected of committing a crime. So, if the Hispanic person does not rob the Ice Cream shop, it is safe to say they and their child can enjoy their ice cream in peace.

And yet, our characterless president and the liberal mainstream media in solidarity with those who boldly and arrogantly break our laws are shamefully promoting lies about the Arizona immigration law. Why? To recruit future new democrat voters.

Obama and the liberal mainstream media apparently could care less about the national racial tension and violence fueled by their irresponsible distortion of the Arizona law. This is the Al Sharpton and Tawana Brawley Hoax all over again. Only this time it is the president of the United States spreading lies and fueling the flames of racial hatred.

As I have stated on numerous occasions regarding other national issues, it is always all about Obama. His political agenda and him “looking good” trumps national race relations and even the best interest of our country. Again, I say, dear Lord, what kind of man do we have in the White House?

As a black patriot of the Tea Party Movement, the liberal mainstream media practically strapped me down and water boarded me attempting to force me to confess seeing racist signs, which I never saw, at tea party rallies. Meanwhile, they are completely blind and silent about the outrageous, hate-filled, racist, traitorous and violent signs on display at the anti Arizona immigration law rallies.

Recently, the word of the month from the Obama administration and the liberal mainstream media was “Sedition” which Webster defines as, “the stirring up of discontent, resistance, or rebellion against the government in power”. Obama and his homeys in the media were aggressively attempting to make the “S” word stick to tea party patriots, conservative commentators and anyone who opposed Obama’s agenda.

Well excuuuuuuse me, but given Obama and the liberal mainstream media’s distortion and support of protesters against the Arizona law which mirrors federal law, is it a reach to say Obama, his media and his protesters are guilty of Sedition?

I am also struck by the breath taking arrogance and entitlement mindset of the anti Arizona immigration law protesters. The liberal mainstream media portrays illegal immigrants as humble pheasants who are seeking a better life while hiding in the shadows.

While in reality, those attending the rallies are angry, demanding and some are even violent. Their attitude is “in your face America! Yes, we are here illegally and you had better give us what we want!”

Who do they think they are? What has inspired them to boldly ignore our laws? I submit these illegals and their liberal supporters are emboldened by the usual suspects, the liberal mainstream media, the democrats and outrageously, the president of the United States.

Obama received 96% of the black vote. A large percentage of those black voters were the product of decades of indoctrination by the liberal mainstream media and democrats; America is racist, against you and owes you. The liberal mainstream media and democrats are employing their same tried and true tactics on illegals to birth a new crop of victim and entitlement minded democrat voters.

These new potential democrat voters believe America sucks. Notice the small number of America flags at their rallies verses the sea of U.S. flags at the tea parties. They hate Capitalism and are not interested in learning English. There is a huge difference between wanting to be an American verses using America.

In New York harbor stands a lady with her arm raised to the sky. As ambassador for the American people, she warmly embraces all who legally seek to join our great national family.

Despite traitorous lies from an enemy within, race, color or creed are irrelevant. All we require for the privilege and honor of becoming an American is a respect for our laws and a desire to contribute to this extraordinary experiment called America, the greatest nation on the planet. To all who feel this way, we say, “Welcome home!”

I got the idea while traveling and performing nationally on Tea Party Express Tour II. At rallies in every city, conservative musical artists gave me their CDs. Singer/songwriters emailed their songs; all understandably proclaiming theirs to be the greatest tea party song ever written.

I loved the ones who gave me a sheet of lyrics with their permission for me to create a melody, invest time and funds hiring musicians and studio time to produce their song with a promise of sharing the millions made from the sale of their “sure hit”.

However, I have heard excellent songs from relatively unknown conservative bands and individual artists; each wanting to travel on the Tea Party Express and/or participate in the Tea Party Movement.

Thus, my idea/solution. To symbolize the diversity, unity and “We The People” aspect of our incredible Tea Party Movement, what if unknown and famous conservative musical artists came together to record a song for a great cause in the style of the Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie 80s hit “We Are The World”.

I have challenged my dear friend and amazing music producer/engineer, Frank Starchak, on three other occasions to produce a masterpiece. Each time Frank rose to the occasion.

Over ten years ago, Frank and I were recording after midnight in his studio. A little boy around ten years old knocked on the front door. I cannot remember what the kid wanted, but Frank told me the local boy had issues and bad parents. The troubled boy did receive guidance by attending the Julie Community Center daily after school. The center was run by an awesome nun named Sister Bobby. I had a dream that night about several singers recording a unique version of “Amazing Grace” which would change to various musical styles. All proceeds from the sale of the song would benefit the Julie Community Center.

Frank and I rallied almost two hundred Maryland bands, singers and musicians to record the song. We had white tattooed rockers with rings in their noses and long purple hair singing with black gospel singers wearing business suits; people who would never be in the same room together enjoyed the awesome vibe and musical kinship of the project. Even a rapper threw in a positive rap. It was truly wonderful.

Years later, after moving to Florida, I heard the heart-wrenching news story about tractor trailer driver, Ed Tippie. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time, a depressed father decided to commit suicide with his two young sons in the backseat of his car. He pulled his car out into traffic on the interstate right in front of Tippie’s eighteen wheeler. Tippie suffered a mild neck injury. All three passengers in the car were killed.

Tippie, husband and father of a sick child was so traumatized by the incident he could no longer drive. Frank and I rallied musicians, wrote and recorded a song and raised funds for the Tippie family.

Then, I was approached to help Gabrielle LaVerde, a beautiful little girl suffering with Niemann-Pick Type C, early childhood Alzheimer’s. Her parents needed funds for a special treatment. Again, Frank and I rallied the music community.

Now, Frank and I are rallying the national conservative music community to benefit the families of our military fallen (AmericasMightyWarriors.org). I had the honor and pleasure of meeting the founder and president of the wonderful organization, Debbie Lee, while traveling together on the Tea Party Express III tour.

Debbie Lee is a Gold Star mom. Her highly decorated son, Marc Alan Lee was the first U.S. Navy Seal killed in Iraq. Debbie, through her organization, is doing the Lord’s work providing aid, comfort and whatever she can to assist the families of fallen soldiers.

Here is our game plan. Artists will come to Florida and record the song, “Take Back America” with various singers singing each line ala “We Are The World”. Everyone will sing the chorus.

Musicians will have an opportunity to add various parts. Artists may submit songs for consideration to be included on the compilation CD. ALL proceeds from the sales of the CD will benefit AmericasMightyWarriors.org.

Having toured with Gold Star Mom, Debbie Lee, president of Americas Mighty Warriors on the Tea Party Express III tour, I can think of no better beneficiary to receive all proceeds from the recording. Debbie Lee’s son, Marc Alan Lee was the first navy seal killed in Iraq.

My producer Frank Starchak and I have united hundreds of musicians in the past recording songs to benefit charities on three other occasions.
