Both of us type “A” personalities, my wife Mary and I forced ourselves to take a break from emails, computers, faxes and writing. We spent a leisurely Wednesday at our favorite New Smyrna Beach here in Florida. While chillin’ in our beach chairs, a seagull landed about ten feet away. I tossed a piece of fried chicken about five feet from him.

The timid seagull took a few hesitant steps toward the food and stopped. Suddenly, another seagull swooped down and consumed the free meal. I threw more pieces of chicken progressively closer to my chair which drew about a dozen seagulls. The original gull squawked and watched. I thought, “You wimp, everyone around you is feasting on chicken and you don’t have the guts to take a reasonable risk”. Too bad he doesn’t have Obama to spread the chicken around.

It is interesting how God has designed life that every achievement requires a little faith, courage and risk. Beginning August 28th in Sacramento, CA, I will be traveling and performing my “American Tea Party Anthem” across our great land on the national TeaPartyExpress.org tour. Our tour will finale at the Taxpayer March on DC and rally Sept. 12th.

SEIU thugs put black conservative Kenneth Gladney in the emergency room for simply selling “Don’t Tread on Me” flags outside of a town hall meeting. I too, as a black conservative, risk the same fate or worse because of my outspoken and visible opposition to Obama’s far left agenda. I guess those who voted for Obama purely because of his race, think we black conservatives deserve extreme punishment for not supporting the first black president regardless of his policies.

Nevertheless, preserving America as we know it, is worth any risk. Our brave young U.S. Military troops put everything on the line for our great country every day. Throughout our history many brave have suffered and died to preserve our freedom, liberty and culture. My risk pales in comparison.

I am proud and honored to be chosen by God to stand up for America. We on the Tea Party Express Tour covet your prayers and support as we travel to restore and preserve our great country.

I am on the email list of a dear black friend of 20 years. He is a minister, writer and professor. He has mentored and advised me with great wisdom on numerous occasions. With me being a black conservative Republican and he a Democrat, we avoid talking politics. Since the election of Obama, my friend will talk about nothing else. He is in Baltimore. I’m in Florida. Every time he calls me, he turns the conversation into trashing all who oppose Obama’s agenda. Thank God for caller ID.

I received a mass email from my friend in which he vilifies the Christian community for not chastising ministers who speak against Obama and for not attacking Sarah Palin. He said the Republicans used Palin as their “attack dog against Obama.” He said watching a McCain/Palin rally was like watching a KKK lynch mob and he personally heard the crowds yelling, “kill him,” referring to Obama. Folks, my dear friend is a liar.

In 2008, I traveled the U.S. attending forty rallies on the national “Stop Obama Tour” with Our Country Deserves Better PAC. Not once, did I hear any violent or racist comments. Seeing through his smooth speeches and charisma, people were simply terrified of what was to come with an Obama victory.

Behind all of my friend’s intellectual yada, yada, yada, festers a deep hatred for the rich and white people. In a conversation, he said with great glee that Obama was going to “reign in Wall Street” and CEO’s salaries should be limited to $500,000 per year. I thought, “Who the heck are you to dictate how much someone should be permitted to earn. This is America. The sky’s the limit.”

Anger caused me to write a passionate reply to my friend’s hate filled email. I stated numerous reasons why Obama’s agenda and the health care bills are wrong for America.

Included was abortion. Fifty percent of black babies are aborted. (BlackGenocide.org) Also, Obama voted three times against protecting babies who survive an abortion. So, how does my black minister friend justify supporting Obama. And why does he consider anyone opposing Obama’s policies non Christian, racist or an Uncle Tom if you are black?

Ready to hit “reply all,” I remembered the White House requested all emails against ObamaCare be forwarded to them. I thought, why give them more ammo to attempt to shut me up? The folks on my friend’s liberal email list are all infected will Obama Brainlock Syndrome. They do not want to know the truth. In the current climate set by our “I’m gonna make you a Health Care offer you can’t refuse” president, I could be setting myself up for physical attacks.

Many sincere white Americans thought by electing a black president America could never again be characterized as a “racist country.” Shamefully, this characterless administration betrayed Obama voters by exploiting race, using it as a tool to implement their far left agenda. If you don’t agree with everything Obama wants, you must be a racist. Rather than the election of America’s first black president bringing the races together, Obama’s administration is tearing us apart. They will continue to play the tired, old and tattered geriatric “race card” as long as it is effective.

Folks, please, please, please do not fall for it. The stakes are far too high. Boldly speak the truth and stand up for what you know in your hearts to be right for America. Obama wants to redistribute wealth, punish achievers, decide who lives or dies and control as much of our lives as possible. It is just that simple. His must be stopped. Do not allow yourselves to be manipulated and intimidated for fear of being called “racist.”

Ironically, “Black Racism” has blinded my long time friend as well as many other black Americans from seeing beyond Obama’s skin color. MLK would not be proud.

Conservative Rapper Sarah Starchak

Folks, meet Sarah Starchak, brilliant student, super talented singer/songwriter, dancer, beautiful and conservative. Sarah endured severe harassment in high school from her fellow students for her reasoned opposition to worshiping their rock star, Barrack Obama. Winning a scholarship, Sarah begins college in the fall.

If I sound like a proud uncle, I am. Not by blood, but by my relationship with Sarah’s family and her dad, master music producer/engineer Frank Starchak. Frank is the producer of my national “American Tea Party Anthem”. (Deltona Records)

When Sarah was six, she sang on my “Amazing Grace” project. I am grateful that Sarah has grown into a young lady with her head on straight. Hopefully, she will follow in the foot steps of another “Sarah” from Alaska who is also brilliant, beautiful and conservative.

“Feet To The Fire” is my newest musical contribution to the Tea Party Movement. The song challenges Obama Care and alerts politicians that we will no longer tolerate their betrayal of the principles on which they were elected. With Obama’s spending effecting the future of Sarah’s generation and beyond, I thought it appropriate that “Feet to the Fire ” have broad generational appeal.

Sarah and I will debut the song performing it LIVE Aug. 22^nd at the Orlando Tea Party.

I thought, “This is crazy”. Despite numerous attempts to convince myself that what I was feeling was absurd, the tingle in my stomach persisted. Black conservative, Kenneth Gladney was beaten by SEIU (Service Employee International Union) thugs for selling buttons at a Town Hall meeting in St Louis. Gladney’s beating included racial slurs. He spent two days in the emergency room.

President Obama gave marching orders to union thugs, ACORN and his followers to “push back harder” and “get in the faces” of American citizens who oppose his Health Care bill.

I have been very outspoken in my national columns opposing Obama’s far left agenda. Beginning late August, I am touring nationally with TeaPartyExpress.org.

As a black conservative, or “an Uncle Tom stupid “N” as I’ve been called, will my punishment be particularly severe?

I keep telling myself, “Lloyd get a grip. Physical intimidation politics is not the American Way”.

Horrendously, President Obama has disdain for the American Way. He prefers, the Chicago Way.

In my youth, I lived a wild and crazy life; drugs, women and partying, basically 24/7. Scholarships permitted me to attend art college where I hung with hippies. While the hippies preached peace and love, most were extremely angry at America.There I was, a black student from the ghetto of east Baltimore, who could not figure out what these spoiled white kids from well to do families were so p-o-ed about. However, their philosophy was free love and drugs. So, I said, “Right on!”

I grew weary of my lifestyle and asked God to help me. He did. I was so excited about my new life, I wanted to share the good news of Jesus Christ with everyone. This led me to join a prison ministry; talk about a “captive” audience.

I was sadden and stunned by the large number of young black men in prison. Many were bright and gifted in many areas. Yes, they had “issues”. Catastrophically, their biggest problem was their negative attitudes and beliefs about America. Black America’s victim mindset and negative view of their country are great contributors to their inability to fit comfortably into society.

While race profiteers are not totally responsible, I believe we all choose what we want to believe, and they have misled many into a belief that limits and hurts them in the long run.

I give you this tale from my youth.

We were three black boys, gifted artists from the ghetto of Baltimore. I met Dave and Joe, both talented artist/sign painters when I was hired for the summer at Moe Canale Sign shop downtown across the street from world famous Lexington Market. My job was silk screen printing signs.

Joe and I were students at the Maryland Institute College of Art. I was a freshman, Joe was a year ahead of me. Dave rejected college. He was extremely street wise and thought college was a waste of time. Dave and Joe learned their sign painting craft at Carver Vo-Tech from their mentor, a black teacher named Mr. Lindy Jordan. They both held Mr. Jordan in high regard.

Our employer, Moe Canale was a generous jovial Italian. A good man who treated us well. Moe’s personality reminded me of “Fezziwig”, in Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”. Whenever a pretty girl passed his sign shop’s bay window wearing a mini shirt, Moe would say to us, “Man! Those legs go all the way up”. We would all have a good laugh.

Hands down, Dave was the most talented amongst our Three Musketeers band of artists; extremely charming, witty and fun to be around. He kept us laughing. Unfortunately, Dave had a dark side. He viewed Moe, our employer, as ‘the man’ or ‘whitey’ and had no conscience about stealing from him. It was the 70′s and many young blacks were militant against America and white people.

Dave stole Moe’s coin collection. Surprisingly, Moe forgave him. On another occasion, Dave broke into Moe’s desk and wrote himself a check. When Moe found out about it, Dave said he had an emergency and it was only a loan. Moe graciously fired Dave rather than pressing charges against him. As I said, Dave was extremely likable and charming. Remarkably, a few months later, Dave convinced Moe to rehire him.

Joe and Dave were a little older than me. I looked up to Joe like a big brother. My intact family, mother, father and three younger siblings moved out of the Baltimore projects to a black suburban community. Coming to Baltimore city to work and attend college was exciting.

Joe, like Dave, lived in the ghetto. Joe’s dad left when he was 5. And also like Dave, Joe had his juvenile run-ins with the law. At 16, he spent a year in jail. When Joe returned home, he learned that his mom had suffered a nervous breakdown and was institutionalized. Joe went to live with his grandmother. He thanks his grandmother and Mr. Jordan at Carver High for setting him on the right path.

I admire Joe because he thinks for himself, is a self starter and a no excuses guy. Once we worked on a college project together. My assignment was to find a special type of paper. I whined to Joe, “I’ve looked EVERYWHERE and can not find it! Joe asked, “Have you looked here? Have you looked there”? I shyly said, “No”. “Well then, you have NOT looked everywhere”, replied Joe. Though I was annoyed, I knew his was right. That was typical Joe.

After college, I became a Graphic Designer. I landed a job at an ABC affiliate TV station, and was later promoted to supervisor and enjoyed a successful award-winning career. Joe graduated college, worked his way through grad school and became the first black Art Director in a prominent Baltimore advertising agency. He founded scholarship fund in the names of his grandmother and Lindy Jordan, the black teacher who mentored him. Joe is currently a college professor. We’ve stayed in touch over the years. A few years ago, I asked Joe about Dave.

Joe said the last time he saw Dave, it broke his heart. Dave was addicted to drugs, mentally diminished and looked like a homeless person. I thought, “Wow, Dave was the MOST gifted of the three of us.”

Life truly is all about choices. Dave thought he knew it all. He was filled with anger and bitterness against an imagined enemy committed to keeping him down. Meanwhile, Joe and I simply pursued our dreams.

Still today, despite the election of America’s first black president, “race profiteers” are still selling their “America is racist and whitey is out to get you” rhetoric.” Their goal is to birth another generation of entitlement minded victims seeking reparations. They can not allow “the truth” that America is the land of limitless opportunity for all, to dismantle their lucrative race industry.

Joe and I loved Dave. He was incredibly gifted, fun and exciting to be around. Tragically, Dave chose to embrace the negative entitlement victim rhetoric. In the end, it destroyed him.

I met Warren Kaul when I performed at the O Town Tea Party in Orlando, Florida. He was manning the Fair Tax booth. On stage, Warren expressed his displeasure with Obama’s stimulus “nightmare” and his plans to transform America.

Warren was born into extreme poverty and grew up in a two room shack in the hollows of Charleston, West Virginia. Encouraged by his mother, Warren was the first in his family to graduate high school. This was a major achievement for the Kaul family. Warren took it further and graduated college. Warren’s success inspired his two sisters to graduated college.

In the movie titled, “Rudy”, Rudy Ruettiger’s family were lower class steel workers. No Ruettiger had ever attended college. Rudy achieved the impossible by graduating from the University of Norte Dame. He broke his family’s paradigm. Several of his siblings followed earning college degrees. Warren is the “Rudy” of his family. It amazes me how pursuing your dream touches the lives of others in a positive way; a truth socialists do not understand.

Warren’s life has been full of challenges. He has suffered with essential tremors all of his life which made school very difficult for him. His career included teaching special education, sales, training and running his own business. At age 61 Warren was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder with hyperactivity and symptoms of Asperger syndrome. He is retired.

Despite years of saving and preparing for retirement, Warren’s IRA’s are greatly depressed. As a result, he cannot remove money without taking a great loss. Thus, Warren and his wife Karen live on Social Security. “Although we are struggling, we are probably in better shape than most people our age.” said Warren.

While Warren is not a millionaire, which is the typical marker of great success, I could not help but admire how far this man has come from his very humble beginnings. Warren’s character, hard work and determination to be the best he could be is a great American story. It also confirms the greatness of our country which Obama is determined to change. I am proud to call Warren Kaul, a patriot brother in our battle to Take Back America.
